Male Hostel J is a four-storey building, with a capacity of accommodating over 750 students in rooms designed for two.

Living conditions

Hostel J has fairly well maintained, excellent facilities that prioritize cleanliness and convenience. Each floor has adequate clean, flushable toilets, showers and 24/7 running water located at both ends.

Regular maintenance and renovations contribute to the well-kept environment, creating a comfortable living space for a student. Moreover, the hostel provides adequate hanging lines and essential hygiene resources fosters a sense of community among its residents. Theft of clothes is however very rampant and residents have to ensure the security of their items.

Hostel J is its strategically placed within the main campus landscape. It's positioned near the students' center and in close proximity to most lecture halls, hence resident students enjoy easy access to crucial facilities and academic spaces.

Navigating through Hostel J is made simple with clear room labels and numbering. This thoughtful organization ensures that residents can easily find their way around the hostel.

What's even more appealing is the affordability factor; the current accommodation cost stands at Ksh.10,000 for a semester spanning about four months. Notably, the hostel often operates below full capacity, allowing occupants the luxury of having a room to themselves hence a more personalized living experience.
