Option 2: Travelling by Road
(i) Private Means
If you're driving from Nairobi, it takes about 7 hours to reach Eldoret. When approaching from Nakuru-Eldoret highway, branch off at Cheptiret center. Kesses is 15 kilometers from Cheptiret, and from there, the University is 5 km on Kesses-Moi University road.
CAUTION: This option is advised only if you have private transportation, as public transport options to Kesses may be limited at Cheptiret.
(ii) Public Transport
For those opting for public transport, it's highly recommendable to travel all the way to Eldoret town before coming back to Moi University.
Below is a list of reliable matatu shuttles from different parts of the country that ply a direct route to Eldoret:

After reaching Eldoret town, you can buy essential products at a lower cost compared to Moi University. Then, look for matatus branded 'MU84 Sacco.' This is the only Sacco operating the Eldoret town-Moi University route.
Fare cost is around Ksh. 200 (excluding additional luggage charges). MU84 Sacco will take you through Cheptiret, Kesses, and finally to Moi University Main Campus.

Moi University Eldoret Town Campus (CHS) is just beside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH). Motorbike charges Ksh. 50 to 100 from Main Stage to MTRH.
Moi University Annex Campus is located at "Annex" area of Eldoret. You can catch a motorbike or board a MU84 Sacco matatu to Annex
